Payment Options

We’ll help you understand your coverage and choose the option that works best for you.

Health Insurance

Body Mechanics PT is an in-network provider for most policies within Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicare, Medicaid, and WPS.

We verify your specific coverage benefit prior to, or at the time of, your first visit so you have a clear idea of possible deductible and copay costs. After reviewing benefits, you can decide whether to bill insurance or choose a Prompt-Pay discount option.

Self-Pay Discount

Patients whose plans are out-of-network can use our Self-Pay discount, with additional discounts available when multiple visits are purchased up front.

Self-pay outside insurance is often a lower cost and may be reimbursable through a flexible spending account. Your PT can recommend a treatment plan at your first visit to help identify the best package. Uninsured and self-pay patients receive an estimate of expected charges before services; cash pay rates fulfill good faith estimate requirements.

Clear Answers Before You Start

Physical therapy is covered by insurance companies, sometimes with prior authorization, which we take care of. Self-pay rates outside insurance provide roughly a 50% discount and range from $160–$170 per visit depending on the treatment package selected.

Your initial visit is 60 minutes. Future visit lengths can range from 60, 45, 30, and 15 minutes depending on your availability and the timing you and your PT feel is appropriate for treatment.

We start with a detailed interview about your story and reasons for coming to therapy. Then we complete a full-body evaluation of posture and functional movements related to your concerns.

We use hands-on assessment and treatment to investigate restrictions, mobilize stiff areas, and activate muscles. You will also receive initial home exercises, posture and movement guidance, and self-care strategies to help you improve.

Shorts or loose-fitting light pants are helpful for low-back and lower-extremity concerns. A sports bra or loose-fitting top is best for upper-extremity and neck problems. Clean shorts, hospital gowns, and large T-shirts are available as needed.

Most treatments involve manual soft tissue and joint mobilization, muscle activation, and posture and movement training. Other common treatments include trigger point dry needling, electrical stimulation, biofeedback, and supportive taping. Home exercises are always provided to support strength, coordination, and balance based on your needs.

Yes. You will work one-on-one with your PT in comfortable, private treatment rooms. We also have a small gym with equipment and open areas where care may take place in a semi-private format.

You should feel hope after your first visit and may feel improvement because treatment begins right away. Most acute issues are resolved in 1–3 weeks. More chronic issues are often improved, if not resolved, within 6–8 weeks. Care is commonly tapered or transitioned to self-care and home exercise within 4–10 weeks.

If you are hurting, don’t wait. The longer you wait, the harder it can be to resolve issues. We also help people with minor pain and discomfort improve daily function and prevent bigger injuries.

After surgery, we can often begin within a few days while protecting your repair and respecting your healing trajectory. We communicate with your surgeon about any special protocols and progressions.

Our goal is to help you heal and reduce pain while staying active when appropriate. We can often recommend ways to modify activity or sport for less impact or pain. In some cases, a short period of complete rest is needed for initial healing; we will guide you through that time and recommend a gradual return.
